USA GDP Drops For Q2 FY2009

January 30, 2009

The world economy is at a near standstill — The US economy is falling — maybe not as quickly as expected, but sliding nonetheless into a slump that will last well into this year, say most economists. Other advanced nations should be so lucky, for they are now in much worse shape.

It’s clear that America is leading the world into the global slump. Its economy declined 3.8 percent in the fourth quarter, according to new gross domestic product (GDP) data released Friday. But it has an advance scout. Japan, the world’s second-largest economy, is likely to see its GDP fall by nearly 10 percent when it reports fourth-quarter results next month. The USA GDP accounts for about 23% of the world’s GDP. Read the rest of this entry »

Porkulus

January 30, 2009

This sham of a Porkulus spending bill, over $1.2 Trillion with interest. Does anyone care? Who is going to pay the money back?

Nothing can stop the business cycle. People like Obama, who have no clue, can only make it far worse, doing things like the porkulus spending bill. That’s like saying, honey we maxed out our credit card, but good news, we got another one in the mail today.

Who thinks that ‘Porkulus’ will do anything for our economy? For job creation? Do you actually think Democrats care? Where do we get these geniuses, out of the gutter?

OK, so who thinks this additional trillion plus dollars in debt will help the dollar? At some point, fast approaching, the house of cards we have built will come tumbling down, on our collective heads.

Manmade Global Warming is a Hoax

James Inhofe Video: James Hansen’s Former Boss Declares Himself a Skeptic

As an engineer, there is a very simple way you can validate computer climate models. You simply set the initial values at some past date, say the year 1 AD, and run the models to predict what the climate will be for the next 2,000 years. Are if you are even daring, why not try the last 400,000 years and run the models forward. Since we have somewhat reliable measured data, it should be easy to see if the models are worthwhile.

So why haven’t the computer climate modelers done this? Well because the models don’t match reality.

End of story.

Hansen’s Former Boss Goes To The Dark Side

January 27, 2009

Decides on truth …

Retired senior NASA atmospheric scientist, Dr. John S. Theon, the former supervisor of James Hansen, NASA’s vocal man-made global warming fear soothsayer, has now publicly declared himself a skeptic and declared that Hansen “embarrassed NASA” with his alarming climate claims and said Hansen was “was never muzzled.” Theon joins the rapidly growing ranks of international scientists abandoning the promotion of man-made global warming fears.

“I appreciate the opportunity to add my name to those who disagree that global warming is man made,” Theon wrote to the Minority Office at the Environment and Public Works Committee on January 15, 2009. “I was, in effect, Hansen’s supervisor because I had to justify his funding, allocate his resources, and evaluate his results,”

Theon declared “climate models are useless.” “My own belief concerning anthropogenic climate change is that the models do not realistically simulate the climate system because there are many very important sub-grid scale processes that the models either replicate poorly or completely omit,” Theon explained. “Furthermore, some scientists have manipulated the observed data to justify their model results. In doing so, they neither explain what they have modified in the observations, nor explain how they did it. They have resisted making their work transparent so that it can be replicated independently by other scientists. This is clearly contrary to how science should be done. Thus there is no rational justification for using climate model forecasts to determine public policy,” he added.

More here and here:

Climate models are useless, and if you can’t even validate them, they are worse than useless, they mislead.

Open science is going to be the only way for climate science to recover from this worldwide hoax, if it ever can. People of the world deserve better than to be scammed by science and those who claim to practice the art.
