Try and tell me that purposely driving the economy into the ditch isn’t the Colonel Obama plan here. I dare you. Not one proposal that Colonel Obama has put forth is designed to help the economy recover not one.

States have no choice but to raise taxes and cut services. The big tourist States, Florida and Nevada are in big trouble. Home appraisals and sales tax collections drives most States budgets and the average home price is down near 20% nationally.

In the most recent state budget report from theĀ National Conference of State Legislatures, the highest estimates for the 2010 budget gap demonstrate how bad the situation couldĀ get.

Some of the States with the worst 2010 budget gap projections:

1. Wisconsin 17.2%
