The next big liberal hoax? Shut down natural gas production? Would Obama want to stop new natural gas production in the USA?
Environmentalists and the natural gas industry are getting ready for a battle in Congress over something known as hydraulic fracturing. “Fracking,” as the industry calls it, involves injecting of water and chemicals deep underground to pry out gas that’s locked away in tight spaces. One of the “chemicals” used is CO2. CO2 is used to loosen the grip of oil on the surrounding rocks to increase oil production. Oil and natural gas are generally found in the same areas underground.
Environmentalists want the federal government to regulate the practice because, in some cases, fracking may be harming nearby water wells. The industry says regulation should be left up to the states. Proof, we want proof, not anecdotal evidence, as the UN IPCC seems to like to use.
Read this sentence carefully — “Fracking, in some cases. may be harming nearby water wells”. And then read this one carefully. “The EPA needs to ban DDT, because in some cases, DDT may harm the environment”. That’s how the game is played, in some cases, may be harming something or other. Well in the case of DDT, the EPA’s banning it did harm something or other, tens of millions of African children, most under the age of 5 died as a result of malaria. Yet the scientist have tried for 35 plus years to “prove the harm” and in 2006 when none was found, the malaria problem was of such a nature that the World Health Organization allowed it’s use indoors. Rachael Carson book, “Silent Spring” is an outright fraud.
So now the liberals are after natural gas drilling.
Extra credit question? Who remembers when the government forced gasoline makers to use MBTE in gasoline, thereby contaminating most of the ground water in California with a cancerous material? Anyone come to mind? Yep, environmentalists did it. Shouldn’t we question their ahem, “facts” that these environmental alarmists present before jumping off anymore cliffs in the name of the environment?
