Cops Advise Making ‘Noise,’ ‘Scream,’ Use Bleach to Ward off Home Invasions

Me, I will have my 45 make all the noise I will need.

Project Veritas visited police stations nationwide and asked the law …

New undercover video produced by conservative activist James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas shows police officers in three states advising people to “just make noise,” “scream,” and even find bleach and ammonia to ward off a home invasion.

The camera operators approached police officers at their stations in North Carolina, New Jersey and New York, and asked what they are supposed to do during a home invasion between the time they call 911 and the police arrive.

In rare instances, the officers suggest applying for gun permits, but the majority of the conversations leave the officers effectively telling the questioner that he’s on his own.

In some instances, the cops tell the videographers that they have incredibly long response times and one North Carolina officer even replies, “We can’t always get there. Look at the traffic right now.”

The video ends with Milwaukee sheriff David Clarke — who achieved recent fame by recommending citizens learn how to use firearms to protect themselves — reacting to the footage.

“I heard throughout the video I just watched, ‘Yeah, it’s gonna take us some time to get there.’ Yeah, OK we understand that,” Clarke says. “The average law-abiding citizen understands that. But it’s like, ‘what do I do in the interim?’ ‘Well, I don’t know scream…’ I mean this stuff’s crazy.”

O’Keefe said in a statement that he hopes the video expresses the importance of recognizing a gun’s role in saving lives.

“[M]edia hypocrites have never even bothered to ask about all the lives that guns can SAVE. So we did,” said O’Keefe.
