Megyn Kelly Snaps at Dem Guest Over Obamacare: Don’t Go to Your ‘Happy Place,’ Answer the Question!

October 29, 2013

Monday night on her Fox News program, Megyn Kelly played a clip of President Obama going beyond the now-infamous “If you like your plan, you can keep you plan” promise. Earlier Monday, as Noel Sheppard at NewsBusters noted, Lisa Myers and Hannah Rappleye at NBC News revealed that the Obama administration knew three years ago that “more than 40 to 67 percent of those in the individual market would not be able to keep their plans, even if they liked them.”

At the 0:59 mark of the video which follows (HT Mediaite), viewers will see Kelly introduce and then replay Obama’s February 2010 promise that “any insurance you have will be grandfathered in,” even if it’s an “Acme Insurance, just a high deductible catastrophic plan”:

Sorry

That’s It???

Top health exchange official apologizes for Obamacare website woes

The head of the agency running the troubled federal government health insurance website apologized for the website’s problems Tuesday , promising once again that they would be fixed.

Members of the House Ways and Means Committee immediately lit into Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services administrator Marilyn Tavenner, demanding to know why Americans should trust that the troubled website, or even the entire health care law, will ever work.

Of course we already knew Obama didn’t know nothing.

I Know Nothing, Or Just Lies

October 29, 2013

OUR UNKNOWING PRESIDENT:

The list is growing every week: The IRS scandal, the deteriorating security situation in Libya, spying on German Chancellor Angela Merkel, spying on journalists and the Obamacare mess. Those are just a few of the things we have been told at one time or another that President Obama he didn’t know about before learning about them in the media. Note to media: You have a critical job in briefing the president, so err on side of over-inclusion.

Then there are the things he had wrong or knew better but said anyway: There is a fatwa in Iran against nuclear weapons, “You will get to keep your health-care plan,” the Benghazi attack was related to an anti- Muslim video, and no predecessor had been compelled to negotiate a budget deal in the context of a potential government shutdown.

This prompts several questions: Who is running the government? Why is the president content not to know so many things? At this point one has to conclude he is intentionally ignorant. If he really wanted to be in the loop, people who didn’t inform him would be fired and the pace of “I didn’t know” excuses would slow. Instead it’s ticked up. Perhaps he refuses to hear bad news. Maybe his second-term team is hopelessly incompetent. Whatever the reason, Obama’s ignorance is no longer (if it ever had been) a valid excuse. His continual cluelessness is an indictment now of his administration’s collapse.

How the lies are stacking up… “Mind-boggling attempts at blame-shifting.”

Legal Glitch “Has The Potential To Sink Obamacare”

October 29, 2013

As if the technological problems facing Obamacare were not enough, a potentially major “legal glitch” could cause the healthcare law to unravel in 36 states.

Against Despair

October 29, 2013

RAMESH PONNURU AND RICH LOWRY: Against Despair. Nice essay, but why despair? Obamunism is in full collapse. And it would be even if the website launch had gone smoothly — it’s just happening a bit faster thanks to that debacle.

The GOP owes Ted Cruz and Mike Lee, some thanks.

NBC SHOCK REPORT: Obama Administration Knew MILLIONS Would Not Keep Their Health Insurance

October 29, 2013

Yep, they knew what the plan was three years ago …

REPORT: ADMIN KNEW MILLIONS WOULD LOSE INSURANCE

So you tell me were they lying or not…

Another glitch …. But then it got fixed ….

As if the mysterious “glitch” wasn’t strange enough, NBC News — inadvertently or not — later republished the article without the following key paragraph:

None of this should come as a shock to the Obama administration. The law states that policies in effect as of March 23, 2010 will be “grandfathered,” meaning consumers can keep those policies even though they don’t meet requirements of the new health care law. But the Department of Health and Human Services then wrote regulations that narrowed that provision, by saying that if any part of a policy was significantly changed since that date — the deductible, co-pay, or benefits, for example — the policy would not be grandfathered.

It was added back in to the article roughly 30 minutes after it was republished, but the discrepancy was again not noted in the article.

The website Weasel Zippers was able to screengrab both versions, before and after the “glitch.”

It Won’t End Well

October 28, 2013

What does the term fixable really mean?

Is it the same fixable, as tested in the first place meant??? Remember the lies that came before.

JOHN FUND: Can This Website Really Be Saved? Obama’s “tech surge” fixers say all will be well in five weeks, but IT experts are dubious.
