John Kerry: “We Would Prefer That Russia Is Not Supplying Assistance To Syria”

May 9, 2013

To which Russia replied, we would rather the US not supply arms to Syria,

Why are we supplying arms to Al Qaeda, isn’t anyone in the media at all curious?

Who thinks this is going to end well???

Following up on the earlier report that Israel had warned the US that Russia was preparing to sell “advanced” military equipment to Syria (in False Flag Broken Telephone fashion), it was only a matter of time before the new US Secretary of State voiced his indignation over a development whereby someone else was providing arms to a conflict country’s government, instead of the US providing its own weapons to said country’s Al Qaeda-assisted rebel forces.

Sure enough, he did: “I think we have made it crystal clear that we would prefer that Russia is not supplying assistance,” Mr. Kerry said at a news conference after meeting the new Italian Foreign Minister Emma Bonino.” While there was no immediate quote substantiating it, there is a rumor that Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov’s response was a less than politically correct phrasing along the lines that he “would prefer that the US not supply assistance to Syrian rebels.

From WSJ:

Secretary of State John Kerry said the transfer of advanced missile defense systems from Russia to Syria could potentially destabilize Israel’s security, as he announced new humanitarian aid for Syria.

Mr. Kerry said the U.S. has expressed concerns about what the S-300 batteries in Syria would mean for Israel’s security. He wouldn’t address what the missiles might mean for Syria’s civil war.

Speaking to reporters in Rome Thursday, the secretary of state stressed the U.S. would prefer Russia not to provide military assistance to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. The Wall Street Journal reported that Russia was preparing to sell the weapons to Mr. Assad’s regime, saying Israel had warned the U.S.

Mr. Kerry also praised Moscow for helping try to organize peace talks on Syria.

I think we have made it crystal clear that we would prefer that Russia is not supplying assistance,” Mr. Kerry said at a news conference after meeting the new Italian Foreign Minister Emma Bonino.

Mr. Kerry also announced Thursday that the U.S. would provide $100 million in new funds aimed at providing humanitarian aid for Syria. He said the funds were “another step forward,” in helping support refugees and civilians trapped in the spiral of violence inside Syria.

And the reason why America is beloved all over the world:

Mr. Kerry also reiterated that Mr. Assad cannot be part of any transitional government in the country. “The foreign minister will work with us, as they have, to try to bring all the parties to the table so that we can effect a transition government by mutual consent on both sides, which clearly means that, in our judgment, President Assad will not be a component of that transitional government,” he said.

Or, in other words, popular opinion abroad is irrelevant if and when the US has spoken what it believes is best in order to “liberate” said popular opinion.

Pathetic … Obama Blames Bush for His Inaction on Syria

May 7, 2013

This is old news, blame Bush, he has been gone for almost five years.

Video at link below …

Pathetic. Last year Barack Obama repeatedly warned that chemical weapons use by the Syrian regime against its own people would be a “game changer.” But since evidence was found that the Assad regime used chemical weapons so far Obama has not acted. Today he blamed Bush for his inaction.

“We have evidence that there has been the use of chemical weapons inside Syria. But, I don’t make decisions based on ‘perceived.’ And, I can’t organize coalitions around ‘perceived.’ We tried that in the past, by the way, and it didn’t work out well.”

It’s Bush’s fault.

Israel Strikes Syria, Says Targeting Hezbollah Arms

May 5, 2013

There are those that act, and there are actors.

Reuters reports:

Israeli jets bombed Syria on Sunday, rocking Damascus for hours and sending pillars of flame into the night sky in what a Western source called a new strike on Iranian missiles bound for Lebanon’s Hezbollah.

Still image taken from video shows a lit-up sky after an explosion at what Syrian state television reported was a military research centre in Damascus

Local people reported massive explosions and internet video showed the capital’s skyline lit by flashes; Syrian opponents of President Bashar al-Assad rejoiced at Israel’s third raid this year, and second in 48 hours, while anger in Tehran highlighted how Syria’s civil war risks spinning further beyond its borders.

BTW. Looks Like Obama’s Chemical Weapons Red Line Was Crossed

April 17, 2013

“I have made clear that the use of chemical weapons is a game-changer” — Syria will be back on the news radar soon. I would bet Israel is none too happy about this development?

British intelligence:

Evidence of the use of chemical weapons has been discovered in a soil sample smuggled out of Syria, The Times of London reported on Saturday.

The report quoted anonymous British defense sources who said that “some kind of chemical weapon” was used in Syria but they could not tell whether the chemicals were used by Syrian President Bashar Assad’s forces or by the rebels.

The finding was established by the British Ministry of Defense’s chemical and biological research establishment at Porton Down in in Wiltshire. The sources ruled out that the chemical traces found in the soil were from substances used to control riots with one saying, “There have been some reports that it was just a strong riot-control agent but this is not the case — it’s something else, although it can’t definitively be said to be sarin nerve agent.”

Have you noticed how useless our lamestream news media really is?

Per WaPo our options … not good:

The course Obama intends to take if confronted with proof of a chemical attack is equally unclear. The Pentagon has prepared calibrated options, ranging from airstrikes to sending troops to seize weapons sites. But officials said they haven’t taken the advance steps necessary to carry out such orders because planning has been hobbled by concerns about the political backlash to a potential U.S. intervention as well as struggles to coordinate with regional allies.

“If we had to go in tomorrow, I’d say we aren’t ready,” said an Obama administration official involved in preparations for securing Syria’s chemical weapons. “One thing we want to avoid is having one group securing the sites and another group bombing them.”

Rand Paul Was Right… US Was Sending Weapons to Syrian Rebels Through Turkey

March 26, 2013

The CIA in Benghazi Libya was the source. Why are we arming Al Qaeda?

In January, Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) suggested the Obama Administration may have been smuggling guns to jihadist groups in the Middle East in a possible “international Fast and Furious” gun running operation. Rand Paul later doubled down and accused the Obama Administration of a cover-up for running guns through Turkey to terrorist groups in the region.

Then in February Senator Paul demanded that the administration answer whether or not they were running guns through Turkey to Syria.

It looks like Senator Paul has his answer. It was leaked to The New York Times.

The New York Times reported today that the US has been sending “military aid” to the Syrian opposition for a year now.

Syria Rebels And Assad Regime Blame Each Other For 1st Alleged Chemical Weapons Attack

March 19, 2013

About that Obama Red Line???

Syrian state media accused rebels of firing a chemical weapon for the first time on Tuesday in the north of the country, killing at least 25 people in the war-torn Aleppo province. Rebels quickly denied the report and accused regime forces of firing a chemical weapon on a long-range missile.

Neither of the accusations could immediately be verified, and a chemical weapons expert in the U.K. told CBSNews.com there was very little evidence to suggest any actual chemical weapons had been deployed.

The Syrian state news agency SANA said “terrorists” had fired a rocket “containing chemical materials” into the area around the village of Khan al-Assal in the northern province of Aleppo. The regime regularly uses the term terrorists to refer to rebels fighting to overthrow authoritarian President Bashar Assad.

U.S. Secretly Backed Syrian Opposition Groups, Cables Released By WikiLeaks Show

December 13, 2012

The State Department has secretly financed Syrian political opposition (Al Qaeda?) groups and related projects, including a satellite TV channel that beams anti-government programming into the country, according to previously undisclosed diplomatic cables.

The London-based satellite channel, Barada TV, began broadcasting in April 2009 but has ramped up operations to cover the mass protests in Syria as part of a long-standing campaign to overthrow the country’s autocratic leader, Bashar al-Assad. Human rights groups say scores of people have been killed by Assad’s security forces since the demonstrations began March 18; Syria has blamed the violence on “armed gangs.”

Barada TV is closely affiliated with the Movement for Justice and Development, a London-based network of Syrian exiles. Classified U.S. diplomatic cables show that the State Department has funneled as much as $6 million to the group since 2006 to operate the satellite channel and finance other activities inside Syria. The channel is named after the Barada River, which courses through the heart of Damascus, the Syrian capital.

Syria’s Chemical Weapons Ready To Use ‘At A Moment’s Notice’

December 13, 2012

Comments made by U.S. House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Rogers, a Republican, come amid reports that Assad’s forces fired Soviet-era Scud ballistic missiles against rebels.

Yes he is saying what the world said just a few days ago, when ‘Bamo said we could do nothing….

U.S. and other Western officials recently issued sharp warnings to Syrian President Bashar Assad not to deploy chemical weapons. Syria called those warnings a “pretext for intervention” in the civil war.

Rogers, told Reuters in an interview that the Syrian government’s activities related to chemical weapons were a shift in posture and a major concern.

“I believe that they have put elements of their chemical weapons program in a condition of which they could be used at a moment’s notice, which is very different from before,” Rogers said.

Meanwhile ‘Bamo is doing what? Preparing his dog for the last supper? Should he do anything? Why should we care??? It’s not or fight!!!

US, French Troops Prepare For Syria Invasion In Response To “Chemical Weapons” Threat

December 6, 2012

Russia has called in the last few weeks, Syria their “red line”. China too, has chimed in on the same theme.

Is it all about provoking Israel into a wide conflict after that failed to materialize after the latest Gaza dust up? Don’t forget Egypt who is no longer Anerica’s best friend in the region.

And sure enough, as both the most recent naval map update(see graphic at the end of this post), which shows a US aircraft carrier and a big deck amphibious warfare ship, both of which house thousands of troops and numerous offensive aircraft, and an RT news flash, indicating that thousands of troops have amassed near the Syrian shore confirm, the time for a US invasion may be near. The alibi? “Chemical weapons” of mass or non-mass destruction.

Obama is using the Iraq playbook all over again. What will the lamestream media say? WMDs…

Before the election I had many of my friends refuse to vote for Romney, for he will surly go to war over Syria. This is likely to come as a shock to their glazed over eyes.
