Florida Shortens Yellow Lights, Red-Light Camera Tickets Surge

May 15, 2013

Do you live in Florida? Have you received a ticket from a red-light camera lately?

There may be a reason for that: according to Tampa’s CBS affiliate WTSP, the state recently shortened the legal length for yellow lights. That’s caused a surge in red-light citations — and proved beneficial for Florida’s coffers.

WTSP became suspicious of yellow-light times last December, when a Hernando County woman was killed after another motorist ran a red light. Timing of the yellow light revealed that it was shorter than expected, making drivers more likely to run the subsequent red light and making the intersection considerably more dangerous.

CBS Publishes Benghazi Investigation – Pummels Obama Administration

May 6, 2013

CBS released information on the Benghazi 9-11 massacre yesterday.

Buried in their report (down in paragraph eight) CBS reported, while Obama was sleeping, or AWOL …

“Throughout the night, sources say Americans on the ground in Libya at times felt helpless and abandoned… But they were told immediate help wasn’t available.”

But, counterterrorism sources and internal emails reviewed by CBS News express frustration that key responders were ready to deploy, but were not called upon to help.

CBS reported:

Throughout the night, sources say Americans on the ground in Libya at times felt helpless and abandoned.

“We relied on Washington for dispassionate assessment,” one eyewitness told CBS News. “Instead, they [Washington officials] were asking us what help we needed. We answered: ‘Send reinforcements!’ ”

But they were told immediate help wasn’t available.

Embassy personnel say they repeatedly asked the Defense Attache on site in Tripoli for military assistance.

“Isn’t there anything available?” one Embassy official says he asked. “But the answer was ‘no.’”

“What about Aviano?” the official pressed, referencing the NATO air base with US assets in northeastern Italy. “No,” was the answer.

Two of the four Americans killed that night died hours after the first attack began…

Counterterrorism sources and internal emails reviewed by CBS News express frustration that key responders were ready to deploy, but were not called upon to help in the attack. National Security Council Spokesman Tommy Vietor told CBS News the CSG was not needed.

Mitch McConnell To Filibuster Gun Control

April 9, 2013

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell has promised to filibuster new gun control legislation, putting up a significant roadblock to Democratic efforts to move forward on the measure this week.

McConnell is now the 15th Senator to sign on to the Republican gun control filibuster, an effort that has been spearheaded by conservative Sens. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), Ted Cruz (R-Texas), and Mike Lee (R-Utah).

As the top Senate Republican, McConnell’s support gives the filibuster a much higher chance of success, imperiling the already-delicate bipartisan negotiations on new gun control measures.

McConnell’s promise to filibuster also deflates criticism from the more moderate wing of the GOP. During an appearance on CBS’s Face The Nation Sunday, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) seemed bewildered by the idea of the filibuster, and called on Republicans to allow debate over the bill.

I assume the bill is Schumer gun registration bill, deguised as sorm sort of background check bill, but since no mere mortals have seen it, I don’t really know.

Is this what the “Obama propalosa” is all about? Ever seen any president needs so many prop-people to do his song and dance act. The show must go on, you never know when the low information voters will tune in.

So grab that 32 oz soda, take a comfy seat, it should be a doozie. No word on the planned “show times” for your area.

Poll: Support for Stricter Gun Control Wanes

March 26, 2013

CBS tried their best but they couldn’t quite pull it off.

You have to read the article to find out the truth. Only 11 % want stricter laws. Yes that is 11%, got that?

Apparently no one wants anything over the CCW laws they got, which in Florida has lowered the total violent crime rate by about 60%. Yes CCW laws, what the liberals said would make the streets run red with blood. Apparently that didn’t happen which is what explains why the Brady bunch is down to less than 2 people, fulltime staffers. My guess is the public knows what works, the liberals not a clue.

Here is the poll, read it with your lights on. liberal tricks ahead.

So why is Chicago resisting the one thing that is proved to drop the violent crime rate. The 7th Circuit Court ordered a shall issue CCW. What’s the hold up. People are dying.

Katie Pavlich Wins The ACU ‘Blogger Of The Year’ Award at CPAC 2013

March 17, 2013

“Fast and Furious”

I couldn’t agree more with this year’s choice.  It’s because Katie went farther and harder on an important story — Operation Fast and Furious — than anyone else in the media.  Hundreds of people are dead and drug cartels armed to the teeth through a program run by the American government, and for some reason most of the media (with a few notable exceptions, like Sharyl Attkisson at CBS) couldn’t be bothered to look into it.  Katie has been fearless and unstoppable in exposing the program and the motivations behind it.

Her book is called “Fast and Furious: Barack Obama’s Bloodiest Scandal and Its Shameless Cover-Up”

Chavez IS Still Dead

March 6, 2013

In the usual commie standard of succession, the next is already picked. But will elections held.

CBS reports ….

Even in death, Hugo Chavez’s orders are being followed. The man he anointed to succeed him, Vice President Nicolas Maduro, will continue to run Venezuela as interim president and be the governing socialists’ candidate in an election to be called within 30 days.

Foreign Minister Elias Jaua confirmed those plans Tuesday, just hours after Maduro, tears running down his face, announced the death of Chavez, the larger-than-life former paratroop officer who had presided over Venezuela as virtually a one-man show for more than 14 years.

It was not immediately clear when the presidential vote would be held.

More Obummer Lies: It’s His Sequester Monster

February 26, 2013

It is seemingly the monster that just won’t go away. It’s funny how government always picks out the Jellystone sleigh rides, for what to cut first. Just to show people.

But the hand out debt cards never get much attention, because government takes and government gives to their friends. It’s how turd world countries work.

There’s a lot of media alarmism going on lately over automatic sequester cuts, a bi-partisan idea put forward by President Obama and passedby Republicans, set to take place in April unless Congress intervenes. The New York Times describes them as “deep automatic spending cuts that will strike hard.” Locally, too, there is no shortage of hype. “Budget Cuts Could Affect Hundreds of ND Guard Employees,” is the headline from CBS affiliate KXMB.

But how much in spending cuts are we talking about, really? Anything according to govenmnet is a disaster. Do you see a disaster in the charts below. Or do you see what any nomal rdisent of the USA would do, if he were truthful with the people. And what about all the lacky getting handouts, free gas, and other things?

Gun Free School: Newton School Easy Target

February 20, 2013

Newtown shooter Adam Lanza was spending more time alone in the months leading up to the mass shooting. (Yahoo)

According to law enforcement, Newtown killer Adam Lanza picked the local primary school because it was an easy target and he knew he could murder a lot of children in one attack. And he did just that.

CBS reported:

Law enforcement sources say Adam Lanza was motivated by violent video games and a strong desire to kill more people than another infamous mass murderer.

Sources say Lanza saw himself as being in direct competition with Anders Breivik, a Norwegian man who killed 77 people in July 2011.

Two officials who have been briefed on the Newtown, Conn., investigation say Lanza wanted to top Breivik’s death toll and targeted nearby Sandy Hook Elementary School because it was the “easiest target” with the “largest cluster of people.”

Evidence shows that his mind, sources say, Lanza was also likely acting out the fantasies of a video game as he killed 20 first graders and six adults at the school. For Lanza, the deaths apparently amounted to some kind of “score.”
