The recent West Nile virus outbreak is the largest ever seen in the United States, according to new numbers from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

They now report, CDC does, over 1,000 cases nationally, most are in Texas.

The number of cases so far this year is the highest recorded through August since the disease was first detected in the United States in 1999. As of August 21, 38 states had reported human infections. The cases reported to the CDC total 1,118, including 41 deaths.

You may wonder how the West Nile disease made it to America, in 1991. Just ask yourself what was going on in 1991 in the Middle East. Either by accident, or by design, it likely came from the 1990 Iraq War. The Persian Gulf War (2 August 1990 – 28 February 1991), codenamed Operation Desert Storm (17 January 1991 – 28 February 1991). Easy peasy.

“The peak of West Nile virus epidemics usually occurs in mid-August, but it takes a couple of weeks for people to get sick, go to the doctor and get reported,”

… said Dr. Lyle Petersen, the director of the CDC’s Vector-Borne Infectious Disease Division.

“Thus we expect many more cases to occur.”

Petersen said that the reason for the high number of cases this year is unclear, but that unusually warm weather could have fostered favorable conditions for the disease’s transfer to humans.

About 75% of the cases are in Texas, Mississippi, Louisiana, South Dakota and Oklahoma. Texas has been at the epicenter of the outbreak, with 586 confirmed cases and 21 deaths, according to the Texas Department of State Health Services.

The most effective answer, DDT which annihilates mosquitoes, and causes liberals all sorts of problems. Afterall the DDT scare was deigned to keep people in cities, where liberals could more easily manage them, and CONTROL people, whose very presence soils the natural countryside.

Malaria has become such a problem ikn Africa, that now bed clothes soaked in DDT have been allowed in Africa. Inside only. Malaria in Africa is killing about 1,5 million people annually, and rising. Most are black children under the age of 5, are the victims.

 

Why Not Use DDT

West Nile virus has been spreading across the country for years … The number of cases reported per year has been spiraling upwards. Been going on for a decade or more, we are slow to act.

Human migration, illegal aliens cause it to spread.

Did you know that once upon a time, we had health and pest checks for entry into our country? Yep, it stopped a lot of the problems with disease we have today. We used to fumigate migrants with DDT to get rid of the pests they often carried. Not anymore …

DDT is the most effective way to combat it. Long ago Liberals used trumped up science about eagle eggs, which has now been thoroughly debunked. There is no scientific evidence that DDT does damage to anything except mosquitoes. NONE. Yet the hoax liberals spread still persists.

Our troops were equiped with DDT canisters, for the same reason. They used to bath in DDT, to keep the parasites off their bodies. I know, one of the WWII troopers was my father. He used to buy DDT canisters for the kids, to keep them parasite free … We lived in Texas. As kids we used to chase the DDT foggers down the street. No ill effects were noted.

The liberals reason for the DDT hoax, the eagle egg crying fest was simple, stop development of the countryside, everybody back in cities. Liberals are always more concerned about Gaia than they are about humans. Where you can catch one of the shiny new bullet trains to where ever they go, if they even work or run. Why not. It’s far easier to control people if they can’t go anywhere.

It did nothing for the eagle, hunting restrictions is what brought bald eagles bac. People wanted their feathers.

It’s as if humans are some sort of deadly creature.

Now the bugs are coming … again. Reuters reports:

The mayor of Dallas declared a state of emergency in the ninth largest U.S. city on Wednesday to combat the spread of West Nile virus infections, which have been more prevalent than usual in Texas and other states this year.

There have been more cases of West Nile virus reported so far this year than any year since the disease was first detected in the United States in 1999, the Centers for Disease Control said on its website.

Nearly half of the 693 human cases of the mosquito-borne West Nile virus infections reported this year to the CDC have been in Texas, along with 14 of the 26 deaths confirmed by the federal agency as of Tuesday.

The Texas health department said the number of cases of West Nile in the state had reached 465 and there had been 17 deaths. There is a lag in the CDC confirming cases and deaths.

The emergency declaration by Mayor Mike Rawlings followed a similar action last week by Dallas County officials and paves the way for aerial pesticide spraying to begin this week.

Sure it is, the media just doesn’t want you to know. Illegal immigrants, and drug smuggling.

It is not clear why the number of West Nile cases in Texas is so high. It could be related to a warmer winter and rainy spring that has contributed to an increased mosquito population, Mann said.

Tell me how the DDT lies work again. You had to stuff them birds with how much before it harmed the eggs? Heck eating that much anything would likely kill them. Do you know that 1.5 million black African children under age 5 die each and every year from malaria? Which would be preventable if they had DDT. Would we allow that in the USA?

But back to the gas of it all — The Marcellus Shale gas is going wild.

One of the biggest finds ever? Maybe we should take some of the money wasted on green debacles and put it into shale gas production. Subsidies? Hey we are wasting money in droves of green crap, which will likely not return anything for centuries.

You need to understand liberals-communists. They say, don’t look, and you will never know. Why do they prevent test drilling so vociferously? Shh, you are not supposed to say that out loud.

As recently as 2002 the United States Geological Survey in its Assessment of Undiscovered Oil and Gas Resources of the Appalachian Basin Province, calculated that the Marcellus Shale contained an estimated undiscovered resource of about 1.9 trillion cubic feet of gas.  That’s a lot of gas.

One thing to note is the region goes all the way into NY, where they say no drilling for gas in our state. OK, then no shale gas or electricity for them.

It spans some of the riches coal seams in the USA, which Obama and the EPA has recently closed down. His anti-Colonial poli9cies is designed to punish Americans, ostensibly from stealing from his father, go figure that out for yourselves.

So we have to go after natural gas, fracking is the reason. EPA says no truth to ground water contamination, but the liberals need something to protest …

One of the best examples of this EPA/ESA scam technique is DDT, when the EPA just up and declared DDT harmful where a Federal court had already ruled they could find no evidence of the same. The millions that have died of malaria worldwide that the EPA for their great scientific work.

Restrict the supply of domestic oil, limit drilling, drive up prices … Hey it worked using the polar bears.

How to scam the public out of oil production and fossil fuel supplies … an entire green scam industry has been built on that pretext. Using the cover of secret science….

As the climategate scandal exposed the secrecy, speculation, and contradiction in the manmade climate change research that precluded opposing viewpoints from being considered, the Kintigh investigation should change the entire ESA process from now on.

In short, the proposed rule plays on fear, uncertainty, and doubt and fails to scientifically show that the lizard is endangered or is negatively impacted by human activity.

It’s not nice to play fool with Texas, they will kick your skinny ass if you do.

History tells us that listing a critter as an endangered species does little for the species and can do a great deal of harm to the local economies—the spotted owl and the delta smelt are two oft-cited cases. But there is not a big body of evidence showing how these listing decisions were made. It was just assumed that the species plight warranted protection.

But that was before the listing proposal for the dunes sagebrush lizard threatened a large segment of U.S. domestic oil production and the economies of Southeastern New Mexico and West Texas.

Rallies in opposition to the listing have drawn hundreds of irate citizens, hearings on the matter have had overflow crowds, and the public register has pages and pages of public comment. Both ABC and Fox News have done stories on the lizard

Acting on the outrage of his constituents and using his law enforcement background, New Mexico State Representative Dennis Kintigh gathered a group of independent scientists—several from area universities—who have spent the last several months reviewing the science underlying the listing. Their report will be released in a public meeting on Monday, August 15, in Artesia, New Mexico, in a roundtable format with the scientists available for questions.

Combining Kintigh’s FBI skills with the scientists’ expertise, the team is exposing fatal flaws in the proposed rule that should bring every previous listing, and the entire process, into question.

While the complete report will be available online on Monday, I’ve met with Kintigh and have a draft copy.

One of the biggest concerns is the supposedly independent peer review of the science on which the proposed rule is based. The Federal Register states:“It is the policy of the services to incorporate independent peer review in listing and recovery activities.”

To the average citizen, the underlying science may appear to have independent peer review as five different universities are listed as offering review—however, no names of the individuals or their qualifications are provided. The anonymous peer review process is routine in scientific journals, but in such settings, there is an established and trusted editorial board and reviewers are required to disclose any conflicts of interest.

But in Endangered Species Act (ESA) listings, the public should be appalled by the shroud of secrecy. This decision involves public money and has a large potential for direct economic impact on the surrounding communities, and, to a lesser extent, the whole country. At the least, peer review needs to be transparent. Better yet would be a process where advocates from each side can clash openly before independent decision makers.

The book Silent Spring was psuedo Science, ie liberal lies. It has repeatedly disproved, every point.

Dengue Fever Hits America

Five percent of the population of Key West, Florida — more than 1,000 people — have been infected at some point with the dengue virus, government researchers reported on Tuesday.

Most probably did not even know it, but the findings show the sometimes deadly infection is making its way north into the United States, the researchers said.

“We’re concerned that if dengue gains a foothold in Key West, it will travel to other southern cities where the mosquito that transmits dengue is present, like Miami,” said Harold Margolis, chief of the dengue branch at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

There is no tested and approved vaccine for the dengue, no know cure, it’s a flu like symptom that has no known treatment. You can only prevent dengue, by not becoming infected. Like with malaria, killing mosquitos is the only effective path to prevention of both malaria and dengue.

And the best way to kill mosquitoes, DDT. Slowly but surely people are coming to the realization that the DDT ban was all a liberal hoax. No truth to the lies told by Rachael Carson in “Silent Spring”. The eco-nut ban was designed to keep humans from destroying the jungles, which was highly unlikely to happen anyway. That’s why they are called jungles, jungles, undesirable places for humans to live, for a whole host of reason.

DDT: Politics Over Science

“We must take a position based on the science and the data,” said WHO’s malaria chief, Arata Kochi, in 2006. “One of the best tools we have against malaria is indoor residual spraying. Of the dozen or so insecticides WHO has approved as safe for house spraying, the most effective is DDT.” Mr. Kochi was right then, even if other WHO officials are now bowing to pressure to pretend otherwise.

After 25+ years of trying to prove the fraud that was Silent Spring, WHO finally gave up and relented tot he use of DDT. Now they are saying they will work to get a drastic reduction in the use of DDT. Notice the carefully word weasel statement.

So what science is this based on? Show us the science, show us the data. Anyone care to guess guess what is going on here? It’s clear, isn’t it. Since DDT was banned by EPA fiat in 1972 no science involved — This fiat rule came to be after the suit to ban DDT was turned aside, after the court said there was no science that supported the need for banning DDT.

And today, there is still no science. DDT has been proved to be safe, it was used extensively during WWII — GIs used to bath in the stuff, and no one has ever proved harm. Nor have there been anything in nature that was harmed.

“Sadly, WHO’s about-face has nothing to do with science or health and everything to do with bending to the will of well-placed environmentalists,” says Roger Bate of Africa Fighting Malaria. “Bed net manufacturers and sellers of less-effective insecticides also don’t benefit when DDT is employed and therefore oppose it, often behind the scenes.”

Rachel Carson, name ring a bell? Do you know who she was, what she did? She died in 1964 and has become a goddess to the environmental leftists — Showing them the way of Gaia. Her book Silent Spring was published by Houghton Mifflin in 1962. The book caused the panic, started the whole process of lies about how DDT was destroying the world, hence the title “Silent Spring” — When all things are dead. The book is a fairy-tale, not based on science, but fiction — “Silent Spring” was not even close to scientifically accurate. All Rachel Carson did was what modern day leftists are doing today, they demonize an industry, in the case of DDT it was the chemical industry, accusing them of spreading mis-information, when in fact the chemical companies were trying to get the truth out. It took over thirty years to expose this hoax and get the truth out. Even today, the leftists are holding conferences and meeting to try and put the DDT genie back in the bottle, but no one is listening to them this time.
