Story today about the article in Spiegel, Bjørn Lomborg writes on his Facebook page:

Real German electricity prices for households have increased 61% since 2000. One quarter of household costs now stems directly from renewable energy. Also, the increase is *not* because of increasing production costs (which have actually slightly declined since 1978).

The increase is due to dramatically increasing taxes, most noticeably from the Renewable Energy Act (EEG). In 2013 the EEG will increase 50% to 6.28 euro-cent (5.28 cents plus 19% VAT).

In June 2011, Chancellor Angela Merkel famously promised to keep EEG prices stable, but this promise has now clearly been broken. The German household will pay 24% of its electricity bill to renewables.

Perhaps this is why more people are stealing wood from German forests (http://bit.ly/VMllfs) and likely why up to 800,000 people can’t pay their electricity bills (http://bit.ly/XcK7nv). Some estimates show costs could escalate to €300 billion by 2030 (http://bit.ly/Qab1Hr).

Notice, that industry still pays much less and about the same as it paid in 1978.

Really? New Paper Finds Climate Models Exaggerate Projected Warming

Maybe if all the computer models didn’t rely on the mythical hotspot …

A paper published today in Geophysical Research Letters finds climate models “suffer from temperature-dependent biases” which “leads to an overestimation of projections of regional temperatures.” According to the authors, “10-20% of projected warming is due to model deficiencies.” The paper adds to many other peer-reviewed papers demonstrating that climate models exaggerate global warming, regional warming, extreme weather, cyclones, extreme precipitation, wind storms, droughts, and floods.

Too bad for the warmist as anyone who ventures outside knows, it’s cold. What happened to the warm???

The global warming hoax is all but finished off with this new research. The mathematical computation computer models that pass for global warming research are just that, they are computer models, they make predictions and no one verifies they actually predicted what happens on Earth. They have been making these predictions for 20 years. Well yes some have verified the predictions, and no the computer models don’t match what happens in the real world, so that explains why you never hear about that fact.

In fact, nothing predicted by the computer models has been born out with empirical data. You would think after 20 years, that would bury the hoax.

In Support Of Gov. Perry About The Global Warming Hoax

Most are misquoting him, so here is his exact words. In New Hampshire, Rick Perry said:

“I do think global warming has been politicised … We are seeing almost weekly or even daily scientists are coming forward and questioning the original idea that man-made global warming is what is causing our climate to change. Yes, our climate has changed. It has been changing ever since the Earth was formed. But I do not buy into a group of scientists who have, in some cases, been found to be manipulating data.“

Yes indeed they have. And many have been falsifying data, see the latest about Charles Monnett and the polar bear hoax.

Nearly every single point in Al Gore infamous fiction hoax film has been scientifically investigated and falsified. The others were too stupid too even bother. Even courts have ruled it fiction in the UK.

Take the one of the warm CO2 blanket surrounding the planet, and it’s mystery, like where it is. In does not exist. Now that point alone would in a sane world label the film as a hoax, a movie of fiction and the famous scissors jack.

The latest scare is the danger of walruses stampeding … Well not exactly, but being rendered extinct.

Obama Caught Lying About Coal

Obama is just making stuff up in order to block coal energy production.

President Barack Obama claimed that coal could create “the kinds of air pollution” that is “creating asthma for kids,” in speaking at a town hall event in Annandale, Va., on Tuesday. However, the National Institutes of Health says that “the exact cause of asthma isn’t known” and that “asthma is different for each person.”

“The challenge with coal is that although it’s very cheap, it’s also dirty. And it can create the kinds of air pollution that not only is contributing to climate change but is also creating asthma for kids nearby,” Obama said in answer to a question about balancing deficit reduction with government spending on clean energy.

“You got asthma? Okay. And so sucking that stuff in is not ideal,” said Obama. “So what we’ve said is, let’s invest in clean coal technology that potentially can capture some of these particulates and some of the carbon dioxide that’s going into the atmosphere.”

Big problem, coal does not cause asthma, and coal power plants have some of the most stringent filters on the stacks as man can devise.

Asthma, however, is not caused by coal, or the emissions from coal-fired power plants, as the president suggested. According to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) the true cause of asthma is unknown, although scientists believe it is caused by a confluence of genetic and environmental factors or early viral infections.

Your electricity costs are going up, one way or another — Even if the president lies.

Feds Will Regulate Ice Makers To Save Climate

Why does the president lie? Does he think we are this stupid?

In its latest effort to save the planet from global warming HOAX, the U.S. government is on the verge of regulating ice makers commonly found in many refrigerators because they increase energy consumption by a good 12 to 20%.

This could be detrimental to the environment since there are more than 100 million refrigerators across the nation and they devour a substantial chunk of the electricity used by all households. Energy consumed by refrigerators as a whole has long been documented but not what the ice makers inside their freezers use individually.

Americans can finally sleep soundly through the night because government scientists have completed the ice maker study and the findings have been beautifully laid out in a 79-page report titled Energy Consumption of Automatic Ice Makers Installed in Domestic Refrigerators. The information is being used to make a case for regulating the popular little machines that are contributing to the planet’s destruction.

In a nutshell, the culprit is the tiny motor inside the freezing system that’s used to release ice from the mold and into a tray. Because the motor is specially built to function in a cold setting, it requires an internal heater to keep it from freezing up. Here’s where it gets serious; heating elements require a lot of power and that’s where the extra energy consumption kicks in.

Global Warming Hoax: Wyoming Senator John Barrasso(R) Rides to the Rescue

Dropping the bomb … On Tuesday, Senator Barrasso lite that fuse. In another fine example of an elected GOP leader fighting back effectively against the leftwing moonbattery that is so in vogue in Washington these days, Senator John Brasso had this exchange with EPA Administrator Jackson:

“This is a smoking gun, saying that your findings were political, not scientific” - Senator John Barrasso (R-Wyo.)

BARRASSO: “I received a memo this morning, that’s marked ‘Deliberative: Attorney-Client Privilege’. In this memo Counsel for the White House repeatedly, repeatedly suggests a lack of scientific support for this proposed finding. This is a smoking gun, saying that your findings were political and not scientific.
…
This smoking gun memo is in stark contrast to the official position presented by the Administration and the EPA Administrator.”

The Supreme Court did no such thing, it simply said the EPA “can”, not shall regulate CO2. The whole of the decision was weasel-wording the facts.

It’s important to note, the EPA’s own scientists said there was no such harm.

What is at stake here is Obama’s plan for “cap and trade” the goal of which is not to limit or reduce CO2 emissions but to enable a new set of taxes on the energy used by every American. It’s nothing but a funding mechanism for Obama’s ongoing socialist makeover masquerading as protection for the environment and public health. And note the part about insuring ‘low income’ people will have a tax adjustment, in other words, redistribution of wealth, ie social justice.
