Congress’ Health Care Oversight May Hurt Their Own Coverage?

April 13, 2010

Has a group ever more richly deserved this irony? From NRO:

In a new report, the Congressional Research Service says the law may have significant unintended consequences for the “personal health insurance coverage” of senators, representatives and their staff members. For example, it says, the law may “remove members of Congress and Congressional staff” from their current coverage, in the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program, before any alternatives are available. The confusion raises the inevitable question: If they did not know exactly what they were doing to themselves, did lawmakers who wrote and passed the bill fully grasp the details of how it would influence the lives of other Americans?

This health care bill is going to be a noose around the necks of Democrats.

No death panels in the bill … where does it say that?

Illegals Will Not Get Government Run Healthcare, So We Have To Make Them All Legal

September 19, 2009

You Lie — Problem solved.

In other words, not only should everyone pay for Americans to get health care, we should pay for health care for those who came here illegally. That’s going to be a winning argument in 2010, especially in Blue Dog districts! We’re going to bust the budget and infringe on your personal choices, and we’re going to make you pay for insurance for illegal immigrants!

Love that accent … It changes depending on whom he is talking to. He is down for the struggle is this tone.

No one wants to talk about the Constitutionality of forcing people into a government run healthcare system, I wonder why not?

Time To Stop Talking

September 18, 2009

Rasmussen Reports that now those that strongley oppose government run healthcare now exceeds all those that support it:

Fifty-six percent (56%) of voters nationwide now oppose the health care reform proposed by President Obama and congressional Democrats. That’s the highest level of opposition yet measured and includes 44% who are Strongly Opposed.

Just 43% now favor the proposal, including 24% who Strongly Favor it.

Time to stop the lies.

Don’t you just love it when the lying, yapping, wee weed up person gets in your face and tries to sell you on his argument no matter how circuitous and demented it is?

Don’t you want to just shout, will you please go away?

That dripping sound is the last of Obama’s credibility going down the drain.

Don’t try and adjust your set, the image is not fixable:

Obama’s Healthcare Fairy Tale

September 10, 2009

The lies were hard to keep up with, but it was the same old ones, been done before. One right after another. WOW, he must think he is talking to idiots, congressional clunkers excluded of course.

One observation, the magic smoke has left the room. The one thing that had propelled Obama to the presidency, his ability to give agreat speech has died off. He no longer commands the same “Greek Temple aurora around him. It’s gone, take down the styrofoam temple.

It was horse hockey pucks, partisan horse hockey pucks, promises that can’t be kept, costs savings that will never be met, budget deficit adds over a trillion, and just downright lies. For instance, Obama’s own website details the $622 billion to be cut from medicare as ‘savings and efficiency’ — Anyone want to know why this savings, if they are real, isn’t done right now to an already bankrupt Medicare system? New portable outfit, improved lies, overblown promises and general witchcraft payment mechanism, none of which are true.

Add your own lies for the sound track. The poor guy thinks he is in Kenya, where no one has any memory of what he said before or what the truth is. BTW, truth does not come in “versions”.

“We often hear such overblown promises from Washington. With first principles in mind and with the facts in hand, tell them that this time we’re not buying it.” — Sarah Palin
