Obama: You Can’t Fathom ‘Complexities’ of Syria Policy ‘If You Haven’t Been in Situation Room’

Is Obama Starting A War With Syria Just A Distraction From All The Scandals?

June 16, 2013

Zero Hedge:

Well, isn’t that convenient?  At the moment when the Obama administration is feeling more heat then ever before, it starts another war.  Suddenly everyone in the mainstream media is talking all about Syria and not about the IRS scandal, Benghazi, NSA snooping or any of the other political scandals that have popped up in recent weeks.

As if on cue, Obama made headlines all over the globe on Thursday by claiming that the Syrian government has used chemical weapons against the rebels “multiple times”, and that the U.S. was now ready to do more to assist the rebels.  That assistance is reportedly going to include “military support” for the rebels and a no-fly zone over at least part of Syria is being discussed.  Without a doubt, these are acts of war, and this conflict is not going to end until Assad has been ousted.  But Assad will not go quietly.

Iran Will Send 4,000 Troops To Aid Bashar al-Assad’s Forces In Syria

June 16, 2013

World Exclusive: US urges Britain and France to join in supplying arms to Syrian rebels as MPs fear that UK will be drawn into growing Sunni-Shia conflict…

Washington’s decision to arm Syria’s Sunni Muslim rebels has plunged America into the great Sunni-Shia conflict of the Islamic Middle East, entering a struggle that now dwarfs the Arab revolutions which overthrew dictatorships across the region.

I don’t recall wanting to enter the great Sunni-Shia conflict, do you. Do you even know what it is? Nor I. Or even more important what they are fighting about now? Except we are now planning on spending $1 billion a month for what?

Anybody???

WAR: USA MILITARY SUPPORT FOR SYRIAN ‘REBELS’…

No-Fly Zone…

And of course it’s going to cost us … That’s $3/4 a billion a month, for what? To support Al Qaeda. What sequester? Not when it calls for supporting terrorists. Sounds a little dumb to me, how about you?

WOULD COST $50 MILLION A DAY…

Syrian ‘rebels’ pledge loyalty to Al Qaeda…

Key to victories…

Executed Teenager 2 Days Ago For Insulting Islam…

RUSSIA: US report ‘not convincing’…

Russia thinks our Obama is lying. Could be.

Russian MP Accuses U.S. Of Fabricating Syrian Chemical Weapons Report

Information about the usage of chemical weapons by Assad is fabricated in the same way as the lie about Hussein’s weapons of mass destruction.” Alexei Pushkov, head of the Russian lower house of parliament’s international affairs committee, said on Twitter.

Drive oil prices higher as the world says, here we go again. Haven’t we been on this ride before? Are you tired of this scam act, then drill our own oil. We have plenty once you get liberals out of the way.

Amid the Syria debacle (or growth ‘hope’ if you are a true believer), the price of a barrel of WTI crude oil just topped $98 – its highest since September of last year. The bad news for all those that ‘consume’ is that this level of crude suggests the price at the pump prices will be hitting $3.80 - that elusive P/E expansion-ending level – very soon.

Geraldo Rivera: Sources Tell Me Benghazi Was About Running Missiles to Syrian Rebels — And That’s What the Cover Up is All About.

May 11, 2013

As the crap circles the drain, the truth is coming out. As many had suspected, it was all to cover up a gun running, err missile running, smuggling operation by the Obama administration. Yep that would be arms for Al Qaeda if you didn’t know who Ansar al-Sharia(am Al Qaeda affiliated group) was all about… Arming terrorists, and hiding that fact from the American people, that was what it was all about.

Arming terrorists, for what, we don’t know, the missiles could just as easily be aimed at our airliners.

Geraldo Rivera told FOX and Friends today that the Benghazi attack may have been about running missiles to Syria…

“I believe, and my sources tell me, they were there to round up those shoulder-fired surface-to-air missiles, they were going to hand those missiles over to the Turks and the Turks were going to give them to the rebels in Syria. It was like Iran-Contra, I think it merits gigantic investigation, it will all become clear.”

In January, Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) suggested the Obama Administration may have been smuggling guns to jihadist groups in the Middle East in a possible “international Fast and Furious” gun running operation. Rand Paul later doubled down and accused the Obama Administration of a cover-up for running guns through Turkey to terrorist groups in the region.

Giving missiles to terrorist groups and that expalins why the American people could not know the full extent and why it all had to be covered up with the video ruse.

John Kerry: “We Would Prefer That Russia Is Not Supplying Assistance To Syria”

May 9, 2013

To which Russia replied, we would rather the US not supply arms to Syria,

Why are we supplying arms to Al Qaeda, isn’t anyone in the media at all curious?

Who thinks this is going to end well???

Following up on the earlier report that Israel had warned the US that Russia was preparing to sell “advanced” military equipment to Syria (in False Flag Broken Telephone fashion), it was only a matter of time before the new US Secretary of State voiced his indignation over a development whereby someone else was providing arms to a conflict country’s government, instead of the US providing its own weapons to said country’s Al Qaeda-assisted rebel forces.

Sure enough, he did: “I think we have made it crystal clear that we would prefer that Russia is not supplying assistance,” Mr. Kerry said at a news conference after meeting the new Italian Foreign Minister Emma Bonino.” While there was no immediate quote substantiating it, there is a rumor that Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov’s response was a less than politically correct phrasing along the lines that he “would prefer that the US not supply assistance to Syrian rebels.

From WSJ:

Secretary of State John Kerry said the transfer of advanced missile defense systems from Russia to Syria could potentially destabilize Israel’s security, as he announced new humanitarian aid for Syria.

Mr. Kerry said the U.S. has expressed concerns about what the S-300 batteries in Syria would mean for Israel’s security. He wouldn’t address what the missiles might mean for Syria’s civil war.

Speaking to reporters in Rome Thursday, the secretary of state stressed the U.S. would prefer Russia not to provide military assistance to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. The Wall Street Journal reported that Russia was preparing to sell the weapons to Mr. Assad’s regime, saying Israel had warned the U.S.

Mr. Kerry also praised Moscow for helping try to organize peace talks on Syria.

I think we have made it crystal clear that we would prefer that Russia is not supplying assistance,” Mr. Kerry said at a news conference after meeting the new Italian Foreign Minister Emma Bonino.

Mr. Kerry also announced Thursday that the U.S. would provide $100 million in new funds aimed at providing humanitarian aid for Syria. He said the funds were “another step forward,” in helping support refugees and civilians trapped in the spiral of violence inside Syria.

And the reason why America is beloved all over the world:

Mr. Kerry also reiterated that Mr. Assad cannot be part of any transitional government in the country. “The foreign minister will work with us, as they have, to try to bring all the parties to the table so that we can effect a transition government by mutual consent on both sides, which clearly means that, in our judgment, President Assad will not be a component of that transitional government,” he said.

Or, in other words, popular opinion abroad is irrelevant if and when the US has spoken what it believes is best in order to “liberate” said popular opinion.

Pathetic … Obama Blames Bush for His Inaction on Syria

May 7, 2013

This is old news, blame Bush, he has been gone for almost five years.

Video at link below …

Pathetic. Last year Barack Obama repeatedly warned that chemical weapons use by the Syrian regime against its own people would be a “game changer.” But since evidence was found that the Assad regime used chemical weapons so far Obama has not acted. Today he blamed Bush for his inaction.

“We have evidence that there has been the use of chemical weapons inside Syria. But, I don’t make decisions based on ‘perceived.’ And, I can’t organize coalitions around ‘perceived.’ We tried that in the past, by the way, and it didn’t work out well.”

It’s Bush’s fault.

Syria Declares Israel Attack An “Act Of War’, While Israeli Defense Forces Close Northern Airspace

May 5, 2013

Israeli jets devastated Syrian targets near Damascus on Sunday in a heavy overnight air raid that Western and Israeli officials called a new strike on Iranian missiles bound for Lebanon’s Hezbollah.

As Syria’s two-year-old civil war veered into the potentially atomic arena of Iran’s confrontation with Israel and the West over its nuclear program, people were woken in the Syrian capital by explosions that shook the ground like an earthquake and sent pillars of flame high into the night sky.

“Night turned into day,” one man told Reuters from his home at Hameh, near one of the targets, the Jamraya military base.

Israel Strikes Syria, Says Targeting Hezbollah Arms

May 5, 2013

There are those that act, and there are actors.

Reuters reports:

Israeli jets bombed Syria on Sunday, rocking Damascus for hours and sending pillars of flame into the night sky in what a Western source called a new strike on Iranian missiles bound for Lebanon’s Hezbollah.

Still image taken from video shows a lit-up sky after an explosion at what Syrian state television reported was a military research centre in Damascus

Local people reported massive explosions and internet video showed the capital’s skyline lit by flashes; Syrian opponents of President Bashar al-Assad rejoiced at Israel’s third raid this year, and second in 48 hours, while anger in Tehran highlighted how Syria’s civil war risks spinning further beyond its borders.
