Uzbek Citizen Arrested In Idaho, Accused Of Supporting Islamic Militants

Aww damn … NOT A WHITE GUY militia type … Or as Obama would say ” motive unclear”. Yeah Right!

Muslim immigrant Fazliddin Kurbanov was arrested this week in Idaho for teaching bomb-making to an Islamist group. Fazliddin was arrested for giving support, cash and knowledge to a foreign terrorist organization.

Kurbanov is employed as a truck driver.

U.S. officials charged an Uzbek citizen in Idaho with providing bomb-making knowledge and other support to an Islamist militant group, knowing that it would be used in an attack, authorities said on Thursday.

Fazliddin Kurbanov, 30, a national of Uzbekistan living legally in Idaho, was arrested in Boise and faces a three-count grand jury indictment in Idaho and a single-count indictment in Utah, prosecutors said.

They said Kurbanov provided information and money to the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan, which the United States has designated as a foreign terrorist organization. The group supports establishing strict Islamic rule in Uzbekistan.

Authorities said Kurbanov’s activities were closely monitored and any potential threat had been contained.

Pakistani Doctor Who Helped Find Bin Laden Was Denied Asylum in US

The Pakistani doctor who helped the United States find Osama Bin Laden was denied asylum.

Now Pashtun Dr. Shakil Afridi could die for helping the US.

FOX News reported:

The jailed doctor who helped the U.S. track down Usama bin Laden was convicted by a tribal court on bogus charges, according to a classified Pakistani government report.

Portions of the voluminous 357-page Abbottobad Commission Report, which has yet to be made public and were obtained exclusively by Fox News, acknowledge Dr. Shakil Afridi’s conviction last year by a government-sponsored Jirga has undermined Pakistan’s credibility. The report calls for Afridi to be given a new trial.

The report also claims Afridi joined the CIA search for Bin Laden five years ago, while he was staying in the U.S. with a cousin. According to the report, Afridi applied for asylum after a terrorist group, Lashkar-e-Islam, stepped up its operations in Pakistan’s lawless tribal belt.

Afridi was reportedly kidnapped by the group in 2008 and released after his family paid a $10,000 ransom. After helping the CIA pinpoint the terror mastermind just prior to the 2011 raid in which Navy SEALs killed Bin laden, Afridi was arrested and convicted by the tribal court of colluding with Lashkar-e-Islam.

The State Department declined to comment on the report’s claims that Afridi had applied for asylum while staying in the U.S.

70% of graduates had at least some debt according to the latest poll from Fidelity Investments but as the Wall Street Journal reports the average student-loan debt for a borrower who received a bachelor’s degree in 2013 is $30,000 – an all-time record. With $986 billion of outstanding student loan debt (up 50% from Q1 2009) and unemployment rates running at or near all-time highs for the 16-24 year old cohort in this nation, it is little surprise that delinquencies are surging. The unemployment rate among graduates is 7.1% (which is considerably worse than it looks given that many are stuck in low-paid jobs) but it is those who don’t complete college that face the greatest burden – the median annual income of a non-completer was $25,000 (compared to $33,900 for a degree holder), less than the average student loan debt. As the WSJ notes though, the 2013 class is unlikely to hold the ‘most indebted class ever’ title for long as 2014 enrollments and tuition costs look set to continue the 20 year trend…

What job? Better pisk your debt more carefully. I think “women studies degrees are losers. Among about half the coursework people take in college is worthless. Become an engineer, any engineer. Or just go get a job…

Unemployment among new grads is 53% when you talk about employed in your degree speciality.

More than half of America’s recent college graduates are either unemployed or working in a job that doesn’t require a bachelor’s degree, the Associated Press reported this weekend. The story would seem to be more evidence that, regardless of your education, the wake of the Great Recession has been a terrible time to be young and hunting for work.

Me I worked my way through college, and had no debt. It took me seven years to get my BSEE degree but so what. No debt.
