Government Procurement Reveals Hypocrisy On ‘Assault Weapon’ T`erminology

It’s just a made up scary sounding name the Democrats can demonize. What’s new about that?

“Who needs these military-style assault weapons?” Sen. Dianne Feinstein asked, setting the stage for her latest gun grab. “Who needs an ammunition feeding device capable of holding 100 rounds?

“These weapons are not for hunting deer — they’re for hunting people,” she asserted.

Of course the Second Amendment isn’t about hunting either. Why would the founders put a Right in the Bill of Rights, to protect hunting? That’s strange that she doesn’t know the Supreme Court ruled in 2005, it’s an individual right placed in the Constitution, to protect your God given right to life, i.e. self defense. And defense of country from tyrants.

“These are a certain class of weapons — they are designed to kill, large numbers of people, in close combat,” she told Piers Morgan, who was giddy in agreement..

“These are weapons of war, and belong in theaters of war… not in our movie theaters, schools, colleges, grocery stores, shopping malls, churches or on our streets, Rep. Ed Perlmutter echoed.”

“[L]aw enforcement officials agree that there’s no reason for civilians to have weapons of war which end up on our streets and in our neighborhoods,” Rep. Scott Peters, who obviously also got the memo, chimed in.

“A weapon of war’ — President Barack Obama’s term today for the semi-automatic assault rifle used in the slaying of schoolchildren and educators in Newtown, Connecticut, a weapon that he is urging Congress to ban,” Mark Silva of Bloomberg “reported” in a meme-sharing post sure to please his boss.

“I also believe that a lot of gun-owners would agree that AK-47s belong in the hands of soldiers, not in the hands of criminals — that they belong on the battlefield of war, not on the streets of our cities,” Obama told the Urban League.

But  that semi-automatic firearms are not used by the military on battlefields is hardly the point – although relying on confusing the public over that is a key weapon of propaganda used by the anti-gunners ever since Josh Sugarmann of the Violence Policy Center advocated the effectiveness of deception back in 1988 when he passed out talking points the anti-gunners and the media (but I repeat myself) have been using ever since.

Of course real assault weapons are fine for our Department of Homland Security. Why no one seems to know.

And civilian semi-autos are find for our government workers and overlords. They are exempt for governmentworkers from all provisions of the stupid bill as are the retired police. We devolve into a two class citizens, some with right some with government rights.

Didn’t the Supreme Court say something about the federal government not being able to pass laws against Constitutional rights.I seem to recall…

Yet it is believed by DHS that the weapons like the Colt AR-15 make some of the best weapons FOR SELF DEFENSE. as the Procuring document states. Confused?
