Insurance companies requiring higher out-of-pocket expenses to comply with new rules
A Tribune analysis shows that 21 of the 22 lowest-priced plans offered on the Illinois health insurance exchange for Cook County have annual deductibles of more than $4,000 for an individual and $8,000 for family coverage.
You got that? So it is the usual free cheese trap, that lured you in? So how you going to pay the deductible, and I bet you can figure out why hospitals are asking for deductibles be paid up front, before treatment. And you thought it was free.
