It’s Time to Come Home

October 28, 2013

Wayne Dupress writes …

21% of Americans in a 2012 Gallup Poll identify themselves as Liberal. This post is not for you. I am writing this piece for the millions of Americans who are not liberal, but have voted Democrat in the last couple election cycles. This article will have the best effect if readers cross post it to left leaning sites. I want to address people who don’t pay much attention to detail when it comes to politics and vote with their feelings. I used to be you. I want to talk to you about coming back home. Your interests involve all kinds of interesting and exciting subject matter, but politics is only for November. You watch Jon Stewart and Colbert at night and that’s about as close to news as you get. November rolls around and you remember all the old angry white men that want to starve out your Grandmother just so they can turn an evil profit for their corporate buddies. The racist GOP with their war on women and minorities is abhorrent, Chris Matthews says so. The evil insurance companies won’t even insure millions of Americans, thank goodness for the Affordable Care Act!

The Bush Is Laughing At You…

September 5, 2013

Bushes are laughing their pants off, about now :::: Democrats Dragooned Into Supporting War: The president relies on party loyalty, not policy arguments.

Chris Matthews of MSNBC, who served on Capitol Hill for years as a top Democratic aide, put the party’s dilemma in stark terms on Wednesday: “I think the Democrats are going to be forced to sacrifice men and women who really, really don’t want to vote for this. They’re going to have to vote for it to save the president’s hide. That’s a bad position to put your party in.”

One reason it’s especially awkward is that on the substance, the White House isn’t doing well.

And the people, who cares … Or the polls. Everything about Obama is politics. You cannot reason with someone who is not there. Major fail, to even bother.

Lil Chrissy Packs It On: Chris Matthews sours on Obama [likes giving speeches more than he does running the executive branch]

May 16, 2013

Someone should have been minding the store … Poor Obama he is the country’s celebrity in chief.

President Obama “obviously likes giving (teleprompter) speeches more than he does running the executive branch,” Chris Matthews said tonight.

The thrill is gone .. ?

Yes, you read that right: The MSNBC host who in 2008 felt a “thrill going up my leg” after hearing Obama speak has grown disenchanted. Tonight’s episode of Hardball saw Matthews delivering a rare, unforgiving grilling of the president as severe as anything that might appear on Fox News.

“What part of the presidency does Obama like? He doesn’t like dealing with other politicians — that means his own cabinet, that means members of the congress, either party. He doesn’t particularly like the press…. He likes to write the speeches, likes to rewrite what Favreau and the others wrote for the first draft,” Matthews said.

“So what part does he like? He likes going on the road, campaigning, visiting businesses like he does every couple days somewhere in Ohio or somewhere,” Matthews continued. “But what part does he like? He doesn’t like lobbying for the bills he cares about. He doesn’t like selling to the press. He doesn’t like giving orders or giving somebody the power to give orders. He doesn’t seem to like being an executive.”

Are the lamestream media being fed the stuff they need to dump Obama, and put in Biden?

Years back there was an article with a former spook saying that once Barry outlived his usefulness, the fall would be fast and total and the media would lead the way. I can’t find the article but remember reading it when it came out.

Don’t Worry …. John Boehner Is On The Case Pushing Back Against Obama And The Gun Grabbers

January 16, 2013

This is a man to lead the opposition to Barack Obama!

“House committees of jurisdiction will review these recommendations,” a spokesman for House Speaker John Boehner said in response to Obama’s announcement. “And if the Senate passes a bill, we will also take a look at that.”

I don’t know about you guys but I get a Chris Matthews like tingle up my leg! What a forceful defense of the Second Amendment and the values of Repubican and conservative voters across the country! This is the guy I want out there as the face of conservatism!

Marco Rubio did better.

In written statement, Rubio says he’ll “oppose the President’s attempts to undermine Americans’ Constitutional right to bear arms.“Guns are not the problem; criminals with evil in their hearts and mentally ill people prone to violence are.” Sen. Marco Rubio, F-FL

Rick Perry did even better.

“In fact, the piling on by the political left, and their cohorts in the media, to use the massacre of little children to advance a pre-existing political agenda that would not have saved those children, disgusts me, personally. The second amendment to the Constitution is a basic right of free people and cannot be nor will it be abridged by the executive power of this or any other president.”

Would you like to try again Mr. Speaker?

Liberals ‘Freak Out’ After Obama’s Poor Debate Performance

October 4, 2012

The late Warren Zevon wrote the song “Things to Do in Denver When You’re Dead” in 1991. After Wednesday’s presidential debate, it could be the new theme for the Obama campaign and even the liberals of MSNBC seemed to know it. Though some major media outlets attempted to limit the collateral damage.

When the Rocky Mountain debate came to an end, a black cloud descended on the liberal off-shoot of NBC. “A CNN/ORC poll of registered voters who watched the debate in Denver showed 67 percent believe Romney won the debate, while just 25 percent said Obama won,” the Hill reported.

For MSNBCers, it was a sign of The End Times. Perennial Obama Fan Club President Chris Matthews lamented the whole ordeal, whining this “wasn’t an MSNBC debate, was it? It just wasn’t.”

Matthews erupted into a vein-throbbing rant about how Obama should be watching MSNBC to learn his debate talking points. “Where was Obama tonight?! He should watch, well not just ‘Hardball,’ Rachel [Maddow], he should watch you, he should watch the Reverend Al [Sharpton], he should watch Lawrence [O’Donnell]. He would learn something about this debate,” he vented. Perhaps the new soundtrack for “Hardball,” will be “After The Thrill Is Gone.”

Throughout much of the media universe, the Obama faithful were distraught by the president’s poor performance.

Fellow MSNBC host Ed Schultz echoed the panic and added Obama “created a problem for himself on Social Security tonight. He agrees with Mitt Romney.” “I was absolutely stunned tonight,” Schultz concluded. In fact, MSNBC’s focus group of “undecideds,” all thought Romney did well.

Throughout much of the media universe, the Obama faithful were equally distraught with Huffington Post giving the night to the GOP candidate under the headline: “ROMNEY WINS THE NIGHT.” Foul comedian and Obama Super PAC million-dollar contributor Bill Maher took to Twitter to express his frustration. “[I] can’t believe I’m saying this, but Obama looks like he DOES need a teleprompter,” he snarked. Movie maker Michael Moore joined in the distress, begging the president to do better. “Obama please be Obama! You sound like a Democrat (wimpy).”

The lefty propaganda site Talking Points Memo couldn’t even spin it in a good way. Instead, it ran the headline: “Obama Camp: Romney Won On ‘Style’” and featured a “Best ‘Zingers’” video that strongly favored Romney.
