Rosen apologizes over comments against Ann Romney — Sort of: Then Triples Down

April 12, 2012

After a brief flirtation with remaining defiant and avoiding an apology — the highly ritualized post-gaffe media routine lurches inevitably onward.

Hilary Rosen offered an apology Thursday after her comments about Ann Romney sparked an uproar and a debate over women and the economy. “I apologize to Ann Romney and anyone else who was offended,” Rosen, a top Democratic strategist and CNN contributor, said in a statement. “Let’s declare peace in this phony war and go back to focus on the substance.”

Run little doggy, run away. Spoken like a true good ol’ Beltway boy schooled in blame-avoiding politics as usual.

This blowed up real good. ruh-ruh

Yes from the getgo, it was all choreographed from the White House, including Obama’s speech here. See if you can find the go sign…
