Obama doing leak control, it’s what tyrants do, and shield laws are just a distraction, to make you think big government cares about your First Amendment. Always watch the other hand …::: Former F.B.I. Agent Pleads Guilty in Leak to A.P.
The nation’s spy court has begun operations in a new, secure space on the third floor of the E. Barrett Prettyman Courthouse in downtown Washington, ending its 30-year run of issuing secret warrants from within the Justice Department, according to three sources connected to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court who spoke on the condition of anonymity, citing the strict secrecy surrounding it.
Remember when the left was all in a snit when Bush was peeking at library cards? Where are they now? Shhhh, sleeping, don’t wake sleeping dogs. Hey aren’t they supposed to be our guard dogs?
The DOJ was doing the race hustling that the Broward County is trying to head off … AG Holder’s DOJ was sponsoring racial strife.
Hey it’s what community organizers do, and Congress should investigate.
This is truly shocking stuff, that Mark Levine and his foundation have uncovered with FOIA filings.
PJ Media reports … thanks to a trove of documents from a wide-ranging FOIA request:
Judicial Watch announced today that it has obtained documents proving that the Department of Justice played a major behind-the-scenes role in organizing protests against George Zimmerman. Zimmerman is on trial for second-degree murder in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin in February 2012.
Judicial Watch filed a Freedom of Information Act request with the DOJ on April 24, 2012. According to the documents JW received, a little-known DOJ unit called the Community Relations Service deployed to Sanford, FL, to organize and manage rallies against Zimmerman.

The problem is the DOJ has absolutely no reason to try and get trumped up charges brought anainst Zimmerman when the investigators familiar with the case from the start said there were no charges to be brought. This is the DOJ doing this back in 2012.
CBS News has confirmed that correspondent Sharyl Attkisson‘s computer was accessed by an “unauthorized” person or group, apparently looking for data. In a statement, a spokesperson for CBS News says that the company is “taking steps to identify the responsible party and their method of access.”
Last month, Attkisson revealed that her computer had been accessed, resulting in the Department of Justice coming out with a statement that it was not responsible for the intrusion. CBS News promised to investigate, and through a hired cyber-security firm, confirmed that indeed there had been an unauthorized access.
The CBS News statement is below.
“A cyber security firm hired by CBS News has determined through forensic analysis that Sharyl Attkisson’s computer was accessed by an unauthorized, external, unknown party on multiple occasions late in 2012. Evidence suggests this party performed all access remotely using Attkisson’s accounts.
While no malicious code was found, forensic analysis revealed an intruder had executed commands that appeared to involve search and exfiltration of data.
This party also used sophisticated methods to remove all possible indications of unauthorized activity, and alter system times to cause further confusion.
CBS News is taking steps to identify the responsible party and their method of access.”
In a stunning exchange, D.C. District Court Judge Amy Berman Jackson recently explained to Department of Justice (DOJ) attorney Ian Gershengorn that the judicial branch “exists.” Jackson’s statement came in response to the DOJ’s argument that the judiciary has no jurisdiction over interbranch disputes between Congress and the president.
Do we have co-equal branches of government anymore?
In the midst of revelations that the government has conducted extensive top-secret surveillance operations to collect domestic phone records and internet communications, the Justice Department was due to file a court motion Friday in its effort to keep secret an 86-page court opinion that determined that the government had violated the spirit of federal surveillance laws and engaged in unconstitutional spying.

The stonewall is showing cracks.
After reports broke that the Department of Justice would be holding an off-the-record meeting with members of the press to discuss its policies on monitoring journalists, New York Timesexecutive editor Jill Abramson announced that the Gray Lady would not be attending. “We will not be attending the session at DOJ,” Abramson told the Huffington Post. “It isn’t appropriate for us to attend an off the record meeting with the attorney general. Our Washington bureau is aggressively covering the department’s handling of leak investigations at this time.”
