Latest Project Veritas Investigation Draws Ire of Homeland Security

May 31, 2013

Project Veritas, lead by the intrepid James O’Keefe, released their latest investigation yesterday. This time, a group of guerilla journalists tackled the California Homeless Bill of Rights. Similar to legislation passed in Rhode Island last summer, the California Homeless Bill of Rights passed the judiciary committee with a vote of 7 to 2. The bill means to stop the criminalization of homelessness by allowing the homeless to be wherever they want, whenever they want, or so the lefties believe.

Videographers posing as homeless men visited the homes and offices of assemblymen who sponsored the bill to see if those who claim to support decriminalization of homelessness practice what they preach.

‘Misha’ Speaks …

April 30, 2013

Muslim convert Mikhail Allakhverdov, the infamous ‘Misha,’ spoke with a New York reporter this weekend.

The friend of Tamerlan Tsarnaev said he was not the one to radicalize Tamerlan Tsarnaev.

The Daily Mail reported:

The mysterious Misha, thought to be the missing link in explaining the radicalization of Boston bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev has broken his silence to speak out from his home in Rhode Island on Sunday.

Accused by members of the Tsarnaev family of being the mastermind behind the marathon attacks which killed three and injured over 250 people, Misha, whose real name is Mikhail Allakhverdov has come forward in hope of setting the record straight.

Frenzied speculation surrounded his role in April 15th’s attacks, with some asking whether ‘Misha’ was part of a wider terror cell or incredibly, if he was a Russian mole – sent to spy on Tamerlan.

Indeed, his very absence from the investigation fueled the conspiracy theories – but now he has come forward to declare himself innocent and that crucially the FBI do not believe he had any part in the bombings.

Christian Caryl from the New York Review of Books tracked down Mikhail Allakhverdov to his family home in Rhode Island – to a lower middle class neighborhood.

The meeting between Caryl and Allakhverdov confirms right away that he does have the widely reported distinguishing reddish beard mentioned by members of the Tsarnaev family.

Living with his parents in a tidy apartment, Allakhverdov flat out denied any part in Tamerlan, 26 and 19-year-old Dzhokhar Tsarnaev’s murderous attacks.

Confirming he is indeed a convert to Islam, he said he did know Tamerlan in 2009 as he spoke to Caryl in Russian.

‘I wasn’t his teacher. If I had been his teacher, I would have made sure he never did anything like this,’ Allakhverdov said to the New York Review of Books.

Aged 39, Allakhverdov is of Armenian-Ukranian descent and lives with an American girlfriend with his elderly parents.

His father is an Armenian Christian and his mother is an ethnic Ukrainian.

Speaking to the New York Review of Books, Allakhverdov’s father said, ‘We love this country. We never expected anything like this to happen to us.’

Van Jones Says Fear The Tea Party: Van Jones Issues Dire Warning: The Tea Party Will Use Power to ‘Decimate Us’

June 10, 2012

Poor poor Van, I bet he could use a whole lot of loving.

If you been listening to the lamestream, Bet you thought the Tea Party was kapu. But far from it, as Wisconsin proved, any thing but that is true, The Tea Party Shifted, right after the 2010 election, and went from activism to getting the States to do what their elected members promised they would do. What did you think was going on? The Tea Party just matured, realized there are limits to what can be done with signs and marhes and did the proper thing. We converted from marching to doing.

The Tea Party’s work can never be done.

But listening to Van Jones and his prognosticating is funny … After-all, he was the one who said drop the revolutions pose for the purpose. As funny as that might sound. He must think a suit is the answer to his problem, not his Marxist ideology.

The Tea Party is America … and it’s the Americans rising up against tyranny.

As The Blaze previously reported, liberals assembled this weekend in Providence, Rhode Island, for Netroots Nation, an annual conference aimed at promoting the progressive cause. Closing out the event was Van Jones, the former White House official who has distinguished himself as being especially hostile toward the American right. In his address, the one-time green jobs adviser warned the audience about the Tea Party and encouraged them to fight diligently to ensure their policies are enacted.

(Related: Anti-Walker Activist Ponders: ‘What Would Hitler Have Done With Fox News?’)

Video here … Here‘s just a sampling of Jones’ words:

“If the Tea Party is allowed to score a trifecta, their ideas already are corrupting the Supreme Court, you see that with Scalia’s antics, they already have half of the Congress. If they get the rest…and the White House…if the Tea Party governs America — if this time next year, you are living in a government run by the Tea Party — let me suggest to you that they might use power a little bit differently than we did. When they get power, they use it to decimate us…”

What Van Jones and his ilk fail to realize, the Tea Party is Americans, with American ideals and goals. Not revolutionaries who want some form of leftists COMMUNISM utopia … And that is the difference. Driven by Freedom and Liberty, not run by some ruler.

And yes it is very real.

California tops states in teen unemployment

May 25, 2012

Teens hardest hit … no one wants to hire unskilled workers, who need training to be real workers. Nationally, the teen unemployment rate stands at 24.9 percent.

As summer break approaches and school seasons conclude, teens in California will have a more difficult time finding a job than their demographic counterparts in every other state, according to Census Bureau data released by the Employment Policies Institute.

When I was a kid, two of us went out and bought a lawn mower and took to the streets, asking to cut jobs. We took a big risk, buying the latest best and biggest lawnmower at the local hardware store, because of the way the finished lawn looked, when cut. It worked, customers flocked to our service.

But now ….

1) California 36.2%
2) South Carolina 31.2%
3) Rhode Island 29.8%
4) Washington 29.0%
5) Arizona 29.0%
6) Nevada 28.8%
7) Idaho 28.4%
8) North Carolina 28.2%
9) Missouri 27.7%
10) Louisiana 27.6%
** District of Columbia 51.7%

With 36.2 percent of its teens unable to find employment, California leads all other states in teen unemployment — only the District of Columbia, with its 51.7 percent teen unemployment rate, surpasses the Golden State.

Overall, teen unemployment rose in 17 states and Washington, D.C., between April 2011 and April 2012, and fell in 32 states.

Nationally, the teen unemployment rate stands at 24.9 percent, and has averaged above 20 percent for over 40 months. The number of employed teens fell by 14,000 from March to April 2012.

“Although the jobs outlook has improved slightly for summer 2012, teens searching for summer employment are still faced with more competition and less opportunity than past generations,” said Michael Saltsman, research fellow at the EPI, in a statement.

This level of unemployment should horrify every American.

Number of high-school students with jobs hits 20-year low

Yep isn’t This How it Works with Crooks: Former Dem. Congressman Kennedy Alleges ‘Quid Pro Quo’ for Access to White House

April 15, 2012

Sell the people’s house for whatever you can get, the promise of government candy comes after I get reelected. WOW, I am speechless that someone would actually go on the record and say this.

Bet you never heard this before from a US President. You’re being sold out, so says today’s New York Times. Hah, so much for the hopey changey crowd.

Access to the Obama White House is in direct correlation to the amount of money donated to the president’s reelection effort and the Democratic party, the New York Times reports today.

The Times reports:

“those who donated the most to Mr. Obama and the Democratic Party since he started running for president were far more likely to visit the White House than others. Among donors who gave $30,000 or less, about 20 percent visited the White House, according to a New York Times analysis that matched names in the visitor logs with donor records. But among those who donated $100,000 or more, the figure rises to about 75 percent. Approximately two-thirds of the president’s top fund-raisers in the 2008 campaign visited the White House at least once, some of them numerous times.”

But the most explosive allegation in today’s New York Times news story comes from former Democratic congressman Patrick Kennedy, son of the late Ted Kenney, who calls what the Obama White House is doing “quid pro quo.”

Patrick J. Kennedy, the former representative from Rhode Island, who donated $35,800 to an Obama re-election fund last fall while seeking administration support for a nonprofit venture, said contributions were simply a part of “how this business works.”

“If you want to call it ‘quid pro quo,’ fine,” he said. “At the end of the day, I want to make sure I do my part.”

Pensions Of Government Workers Dissolving Nationwide.

March 13, 2012

How would you feel if you worked for a state or local government for 20 or 30 years only to have your pension slashed dramatically or taken away entirely?  Well, this exact scenario is playing out from coast to coast and in the years ahead millions of elderly Americans are going to be affected by broken promises and vanishing pensions.  In the old days, things were much different.  You would get hired by a big company or a government institution and you knew that the retirement benefits that they were promising you would be there when you retired in a few decades.  Unfortunately, we have now arrived at a time when government institutions and big companies have promised far more than they are able to deliver, and “pension reform” has become one of the hot button issues all over the nation.

Many Americans that have been basing their financial futures on their pensions are waking up one day and finding that their pensions are either gone or have been cut back dramatically.  According to Northwestern University Professor John Rauh, the latest estimate of the total amount of unfunded pension and healthcare obligations for state and local governments across the United States is 4.4 trillion dollars.

America is continually becoming a poorer  and all of that money is simply not going to magically materialize somehow.  So where is that 4.4 trillion dollars going to come from?  Well, either pension benefits are going to have to be cut a lot more all over America or taxes will need to be raised dramatically.  Either way, we are all going to feel the pain of these broken promises.

There simply is not enough money out there to keep all of the pension commitments that have been made.  Something has got to give.  In the end, millions of elderly Americans will likely be plunged into poverty as pensions disappear.

Never count on government. Along comes Obama and he is going to make America pay, especially white America. Just listen to his Jeremiah Wright’s talk, and you will find the truth. First destroy white America’s finance system …

As cities go broke, pensions are slashed, promises made, no way to keep them.

STATES PREPARE BRAKES ON CITIZEN-DETENTION OPTION

February 8, 2012

State and local officials in surging numbers are telling Washington they simply won’t cooperate with any plans to detain Americans the federal government may choose to describe as “belligerents.”

The issue centers on provisions in the National Defense Authorization Act of 2012, signed by President Obama, for the indefinite and rights-free detention of those Washington cites as belligerents, whether American citizens or not.

The law “that suspend habeas corpus and civil liberties.”

Now the Tenth Amendment Center confirms that the resistance to the federal bureaucracy is catching on.

The instruction manual on how to restore America to what it once was: “Taking America Back.” This package also includes the “Tea Party at Sea.”

“Sources close to the Tenth Amendment Center say as many as 10 states will consider legislation or resolutions in response to the detention provisions in section 1021 and 1022 of the NDAA,” the organization is reporting. “Lawmakers in Rhode Island and Washington will likely introduce resolutions authored by the Rhode Island Liberty Coalition within the next week. Additionally, local governments, including Fremont County, Colo. and El Paso County, Colo., have passed resolution condemning the detention provisions.”

With Pensions Like This, No Kidding Providence Rhode Island Faces ‘Bankruptcy By June’

February 4, 2012

Untenable pension promises made by corrupt politicians to corrupt unions in an unholy alliance is about to sink another city.

Please consider Providence is facing bankruptcy from WPRI:

Rhode Island’s capital city will be in bankruptcy by June if it doesn’t get help resolving its financial crisis.

That was the dire warning from Providence Mayor Angel Taveras during a Thursday morning news conference at City Hall. With five months left before the end of the fiscal year and the capital set to run out of cash by the start of summer, the city still faces a $22.5 million deficit in its budget for the current fiscal year, which ends June 30.

The budget shortfall was projected at $110 million last March, when Taveras declared a “category five” financial emergency in Providence. It was reduced after he negotiated new contracts with unions, laid off workers, cut spending and won increased state aid…

Taveras said the city’s retirees must accept reduced pension and health care benefits to save the city from financial ruin. A decree signed in 1991 by Mayor Buddy Cianci pushed the city’s pension liability “into the stratosphere” by giving annual cost-of-living increases of 5% and 6% to more than 600 retirees, he said.
