CBS News: ‘Fast and Furious’ Gun Found At Site Where Mexican Beauty Queen Killed

December 19, 2012

Obama’s Fast And Furious, claims another victi,. I wonder will the media care???

A gun found at the scene of a shootout between a Mexican drug cartel and soldiers where a beauty queen died was part of the botched “Fast and Furious” operation, CBS News reports.

Authorities had said that Maria Susana Flores Gamez was likely used as a human shield and that an automatic rifle had been found near her body after the Nov. 23 shootout.

Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, tells CBS News that the Justice Department did not notify Congress that a Fast and Furious firearm was found at the scene in Sinaloa.

CBS News learned the Romanian AK-47-type WASR-10 rifle found near her body was purchased by Uriel Patino at an Arizona gun shop in 2010. Patino is a suspect who allegedly purchased 700 guns while under the ATF’s watch.

The “Fast and Furious” operation was launched in 2009 to catch trafficking kingpins, but agents lost track of about 1,400 of the more than 2,000 weapons involved.

Hah, I wonder why they are lying. How many 100’s of Mexicans had to die with Obama-guns. Still under the radr? You know the purpose of Obama’s gun running operation was to illicit exactly what is going on now, don’t you.

Why else would our government give guns to drug gangs. And notice how Mexican gun laws stops crime, where it is so illegal that owning just one military caliber round of ammunition will get you jailed.

Gunwalker: Another ATF weapons operation comes under scrutiny

January 23, 2012

Another one — Not much detail yet, but the note that the agent in charge found firearms “relating to” her investigation in Mexican evidence lockers suggests that guns were flowing.

The LATimes reports:

In the late summer of 2010, the ATF agent leading the failed Fast and Furious gun-smuggling operation in Arizona flew to Mexico City to help coordinate cross-border investigations of U.S. weapons used by Mexican drug cartels.

Hope A. MacAllister wanted access to police and military vaults for American weapons recovered by Mexican authorities in raids and at crime scenes. She especially was interested in firearms from another ATF investigation, code-named White Gun, that she was running.

Now members of Congress who have spent months scrutinizing the Fast and Furious debacle are seeking to determine whether White Gun was another weapons investigation gone wrong.
