NSA Spying … Here Is A List That Should Surprise No One

October 3, 2013

NSA DIRECTOR ADMITS:

  1. … Collecting data from social networks
  2. … Testing U.S. cellphone tracking
  3. … Releasing ‘misleading’ numbers on terror plots foiled by snooping

And I bet that is just the start. When is Congress going to put a stop to this? And what has happened to all our liberal friends?

Academics Launch Fake Social Network to Get an Inside Look at Chinese Censorship

And we take away what, from all this, gorilla dust, being thrown into the air, by these Obomba control freaks.

It’s all about control, like in Obomba’s home town, a little city in the military ruled dictatorship of Indonesia.

Control people like they do their, their junta is great, our free society sucks.

It’s easier to rule dictatorships than it is free societies.

FACEBOOK: GOVERNMENTS DEMANDED DATA ON 38K USERS

August 27, 2013

Herding All The World’s Sheep, but to where …?

As people flocked to …

Government agents in 74 countries demanded information on about 38,000 Facebook users in the first half of this year, with about half the orders coming from authorities in the United States, the company said Tuesday.

The social-networking giant is the latest technology company to release figures on how often governments seek information about its customers. Microsoft and Google have done the same.

As with the other companies, it’s hard to discern much from Facebook’s data, besides the fact that, as users around the globe flocked to the world’s largest social network, police and intelligence agencies followed.

Then the law enfircement of the world, led by the USA followed.

Don’t people know?

Anger Mounts After Facebook’s ‘SHADOW PROFILE’ Leak In Bug

June 23, 2013

No bug, it’s a feature, to target advertising at you.

Facebook said Friday it fixed a bug that exposed contact info for over six million accounts. The admission revealed its ‘shadow profile’ data collection activities, and users are furious. So Facebook doesn’t need the NSA to hack your data. How dumb are you anyway.

The personal information leaked by the “bug” is information that had not been given to Facebook by the users – it is data Facebook has been compiling on its users behind closed doors, without their consent.

You expected they would keep it all private. Isn’t the question who they shred it all with.

The gory details …

According to the admissions in its blog, posted late Friday afternoon, Facebook appears to be obtaining users’ offsite email address and phone numbers and attempting to match them to other accounts. It appears that the invisible collected information is then being stored in each user’s ‘shadow profile’ that is somehow attached to accounts.

Users were clearly unaware that offsite data about them was being collected, matched to them, and stored by Facebook.

Looking at comments on Facebook’s blog and community websites such as Hacker News, Facebook users are extremely angry that the phone numbers and email addresses that are not-for-sharing have been gathered and saved (and now accidentally shared) by Facebook.

All the NSA is doing is tapping into Facebook’s system of data collection. Nice …
