Yes, it’s getting confusing out there, really confusing, temperature of the planet is getting elusive, to say the least. Seems that the real data recorded isn’t agreeing with the hoaxer’s models, so something has to be done. Anthony Watts over at Watts Up With That has some juicy details of the goings on in temperature reporting. The scientists are ‘laughably’ playing games with the data, and it shows. Or should that be ‘laughably’ called scientists?
Science deserves better.
There also appears to be some credential problems amongst the folks in charge.
For some real perspective on climate may I suggest a lecture video of Prof Carter who lays it all out in the gory detail, humorous, and easily followed. Note the time perspective is millions of years, not the last 30 years that mankind has had satellite measuring capability.
Perspective, it’s all about perspective.
When you set out to weave the narrative “pay more in taxes, so government can pretend to control the weather” may I suggest you get rid of all the people who have the skills to dissect and get to the truth under the shenanigans. Else you are doomed to fail.
UPDATE: Extra credit question — Why wasn’t this supposed error caught before publishing the data set?
Answer, because the data produced the answer they wanted all along, no need to check to see if it were real or accurate.
