USA GDP Drops For Q2 FY2009

The world economy is at a near standstill — The US economy is falling — maybe not as quickly as expected, but sliding nonetheless into a slump that will last well into this year, say most economists. Other advanced nations should be so lucky, for they are now in much worse shape.

It’s clear that America is leading the world into the global slump. Its economy declined 3.8 percent in the fourth quarter, according to new gross domestic product (GDP) data released Friday. But it has an advance scout. Japan, the world’s second-largest economy, is likely to see its GDP fall by nearly 10 percent when it reports fourth-quarter results next month. Porkulus

This sham of a Porkulus spending bill, over $1.2 Trillion with interest. Does anyone care? Who is going to pay the money back?

Nothing can stop the business cycle. People like Obama, who have no clue, can only make it far worse, doing things like the porkulus spending bill. That’s like saying, honey we maxed out our credit card, but good news, we got another one in the mail today.

Who thinks that ‘Porkulus’ will do anything for our economy? For job creation? Do you actually think Democrats care? Where do we get these geniuses, out of the gutter?

OK, so who thinks this additional trillion plus dollars in debt will help the dollar? At some point, fast approaching, the house of cards we have built will come tumbling down, on our collective heads.

As an engineer, there is a very simple way you can validate computer climate models. You simply set the initial values at some past date, say the year 1 AD, and run the models to predict what the climate will be for the next 2,000 years. Are if you are even daring, why not try the last 400,000 years and run the models forward. Since we have somewhat reliable measured data, it should be easy to see if the models are worthwhile.

So why haven’t the computer climate modelers done this? Well because the models don’t match reality.

Retired senior NASA atmospheric scientist, Dr. John S. Theon, the former supervisor of James Hansen, NASA’s vocal man-made global warming fear soothsayer, has now publicly declared himself a skeptic and declared that Hansen “embarrassed NASA” with his alarming climate claims and said Hansen was “was never muzzled.” Theon joins the rapidly growing ranks of international scientists abandoning the promotion of man-made global warming fears.

“I appreciate the opportunity to add my name to those who disagree that global warming is man made,” Theon wrote to the Minority Office at the Environment and Public Works Committee on January 15, 2009. “I was, in effect, Hansen’s supervisor because I had to justify his funding, allocate his resources, and evaluate his results,”

Theon declared “climate models are useless.” “My own belief concerning anthropogenic climate change is that the models do not realistically simulate the climate system because there are many very important sub-grid scale processes that the models either replicate poorly or completely omit,” Theon explained. “Furthermore, some scientists have manipulated the observed data to justify their model results. In doing so, they neither explain what they have modified in the observations, nor explain how they did it. They have resisted making their work transparent so that it can be replicated independently by other scientists. This is clearly contrary to how science should be done. Thus there is no rational justification for using climate model forecasts to determine public policy,” he added.

Climate models are useless, and if you can’t even validate them, they are worse than useless, they mislead.

Open science is going to be the only way for climate science to recover from this worldwide hoax, if it ever can. People of the world deserve better than to be scammed by science and those who claim to practice the art.


Reviewing History

I was reading a law brief today about the Heller decision today and was struck by the way the Supreme Court Justices connected the historical dots to arrive at the decision.

With the Heller decision, the SC affirmed that defense of your life is included in your 2nd Amendment rights. Sometimes a re-look at the Declaration Of Independence is in order:

When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

The next section, the famous preamble, includes the ideas and ideals that were principles of the Declaration. It is also an assertion of what is known as the “right of revolution”: that is, people have certain rights, and when a government violates these rights, the people have the right to “alter or abolish” that government.[69]

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.

It’s as applicable today as it was when written. A little learning never hurt anyone … -^_^-

I was also struck that apparently four of the Justices cannot read.


How You Govern Kenya

President Obama seems to have a real problem with the leadership angle of America politics. He sees himself as the elected dictator of America, not the leader of the country. I will try to clue in the clueless. America is a free country, a Republic, with elected representatives. They are not elected to do your will, they are elected to do the will of the people who elected them. We also have a written Declaration of Independence and Constitution.

One subtle point that probably escaped your notice, we have three co-EQUAL branches of government, the Office of the President(Where dictatorial powers are limited), the Legislature(where laws are made) and the Judiciary(where laws are interpreted).  Key word here, Mr President, is CO-EQUAL branches, you do know what that means, don’t you? In America, sovereignty is held by the people.  The people have rights which are granted by their creator, and enumerated in the US Constitution. We are a nation of laws, not men, nor messiahs either.

Another Obama Appolintee Conflict

Obama’s Attorney General nominee’s law firm represents 17 of the Yemenis who are incarcerated at Guantanamo. Anyone see a conflict with this? Michelle Malkin has the details here.

So we can have the first Sec of Treasury who is a tax cheat, quacks for the science department and now this. And you thought that having  chairman Rangel of the House tax writing committee was a tax cheat, as well as outright crook was bad. And lets not overlook the Clintons and their worldwide donors waiting for their payoffs.

And then their is to Pork-a-Loser of a waste of money bill being pushed as stimulus. The truth is their is no stimulus in this pile of ridiculous pork spending. Another trillion of debt for no return.

Doesn’t integrity matter anymore? And I thought, hopeNchange was going to be different.
